Erin Hollon
Erin Hollon
Erin was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. After traveling north through Nashville, TN and Princeton, NJ, she finally settled down in Brooklyn, NY. She has already had several creative "lives" including training as a classical flutist. When an injury forced her to give up her music career, she turned to visual arts to fulfill her urge to create and to celebrate the beauty all around her. Growing up, one of her favorite paintings was a watercolor of Macon, Georgia painted by her maternal grandfather. His artwork decorated the walls of her family home, instilling in Erin the appreciation for original, meaningful art. When Erin began painting several years ago, she was naturally drawn to the watercolor medium. She currently creates ink and watercolor illustrations influenced both by her love of nature and of city life. In her tiny bit of spare time she enjoys reading mystery novels, singing along to Frank Sinatra tunes, and exploring the natural beauty of Upstate New York.
